Switcheo Launches Neo DEX and Eyes a Multi-Chain Future

Exchanges·October 11, 2026

Switcheo, a small team building a decentralized exchange, has moved ahead of its competitors in the race to become the leading DEX on Neo. The team recently closed a token sale to fund the project and has since launched the platform, a timing advantage that matters on a young network where new tokens need somewhere to trade.

The team described its position in an interview on the Ledger Cast podcast with Ivan Poon, Henry Chua and Jack Yeu. Hosts Brian Krogsgard and Derek Waltchack compared the situation to Ethereum, where decentralized exchanges are often the only venue for early liquidity when a new token launches. On a fresh chain, whichever exchange goes live first can become the default place to buy and sell.

Switcheo is not planning to stop at Neo. According to the interview, the exchange is being built so it can support Neo, Qtum and other networks, with the long-term goal of operating as a multi-chain decentralized exchange. For now, the focus is Neo and the NEP-5 token standard.

The conversation was recorded a few weeks before the team distributed tokens from its sale, so some of the details reflect the project's status at that earlier point. The hosts also warned that audio quality is uneven in places because the call spanned long distances, and said they cut the gaps as best they could.

The podcast is presented as educational material rather than investment advice. Anyone considering the project's token should do their own research first.
