Ledger Cast Hosts Weigh Ethereum Selling, Bitcoin Targets and Trade Tensions
Markets·October 9, 2026
In a recent episode of the Ledger Cast podcast, hosts Brian Krogsgard and Josh Olszewicz spent much of their time on chart analysis, with Bitcoin as the main focus. They walked through pivot points, Fibonacci levels and Andrews' pitchforks, tools traders use to map possible support, resistance and price targets. The hosts presented these as ways to think about targets, not as forecasts.
A large part of the conversation placed Bitcoin inside traditional markets. The hosts pointed to new tariffs from China, comments from the Federal Reserve and what they described as escalating trade wars under President Trump as forces that can move crypto alongside stocks and other legacy assets.
Ethereum got its own segment. The hosts questioned how much real-world use the network has beyond trading, and they discussed the recent direction of ETH's price. They also raised the case of a large Chinese holder selling significant amounts of ETH, which they described as a Ponzi scheme. The episode notes do not include transaction data or other verification for that claim, so it should be read as the hosts' view rather than confirmed reporting.
Olszewicz has also written a separate post on Ethereum, which the show links to for listeners who want more detail. The hosts stress that the episode is educational and not investment advice. Ledger Cast is produced in partnership with Brave New Coin, a market data provider.
