Ledger Cast Debuts With a Trader's View of Crypto
Podcasts·October 11, 2026
Ledger Cast, a new cryptocurrency podcast, has launched with an introductory episode the hosts are calling "episode 0." Brian Krogsgard and Josh Olszewicz front the show, which focuses on trading and the blockchain ecosystem. They plan to cover technical analysis, fundamentals on specific coins, and a weekly roundup of news.
The debut is largely about the hosts themselves. Each explains how they first got into crypto, walks through some of their earliest trades, and describes how they keep up with a market that has grown quickly. Krogsgard's first purchase was Ethereum, which he credits as the catalyst for the large altcoin rally in 2017. Litecoin was one of his first buys too. Olszewicz says Litecoin was the first alternative coin he ever heard about, and he counts a Ripple trade as the most profitable of his altcoin career.
The news segment centers on bitcoin futures reaching the regulated markets run by CME, CBOE and NASDAQ, along with the ongoing argument over Segwit and the Segwit2x proposal. The hosts draw a line between the business-side backers of that proposal and the Bitcoin Core developers who favored a different path. They also discussed which coins Coinbase and its sister exchange GDAX might list next, pointing to Ripple and Project 0x, a decentralized exchange protocol, as possible candidates.
Other coins get shorter treatment. Krogsgard likes Siacoin's Heikin Ashi weekly chart as a clear view of market cycles. IOTA's recent run comes up as well, and the hosts note that NEO and OMG posted large gains earlier without being high in market capitalization. For trading, they point listeners to Binance for altcoins and GDAX for bitcoin, ether and litecoin, with GDAX the better fit for frequent traders. Josh also recommends an Epicenter interview with Alex Morcos, a Chaincode Labs developer and Bitcoin Core contributor.
The show is available on podcast apps such as Overcast for iOS and Pocket Casts on iOS and Android. The hosts invite listener questions and are open to sponsorship inquiries. Olszewicz posts as @carpenoctom and Krogsgard as @ledgerstatus.
